Who the ACR Ashdale Multifuel Stove suits best
The Ashdale is the step up for genuinely bigger rooms: 7kW nominal with a range up to 10kW, in the same traditional cast iron dress as its smaller siblings. Think large farmhouse living rooms, knocked-through spaces and older houses with high ceilings, the rooms where a 5kW stove would always be working flat out.
From the survey
Installation notes for the ACR Ashdale Multifuel Stove
It keeps the convenient 125mm flue and 12mm hearth requirements despite the extra output, which keeps installation options wide. At 660mm tall and 110kg it wants a properly proportioned chamber, and we check the opening height on the survey. Takes 40cm logs and carries the 10 year ACR warranty with an A+ efficiency rating.
An honest steer
How it compares with similar models
Against the Rowandale and Oakdale the Ashdale simply brings more power: choose it when the room measures up to it, not before, because an oversized stove run shut down burns dirty. If you need still more, the Larchdale delivers 9kW nominal. If you are between sizes, we run the room calculation on the survey and let the numbers decide.
Fitting it locally
Fitting the ACR Ashdale Multifuel Stove in Yorkshire homes
DEFRA approved for smoke control areas, and the output profile suits the solid stone farmhouses and high-ceilinged Victorian rooms of the corridor, which shed heat faster than modern insulated homes and reward the extra capacity.

Common questions
ACR Ashdale Multifuel Stove FAQs
Is the ACR Ashdale too powerful for a normal living room?
For a typical modern living room, usually yes, and we will say so. The Ashdale belongs in larger or older rooms that genuinely need 7kW. Run an oversized stove throttled back and it burns dirty and blackens the glass.
What is the difference between the Ashdale and the Rowandale?
Output and size. The Ashdale gives 7kW nominal, up to 10kW, in a taller body; the Rowandale gives 5kW with a wider panoramic window. Bigger room, Ashdale; better view, Rowandale.
Does the Ashdale burn wood and coal?
It burns seasoned wood and authorised smokeless fuels. In smoke control areas the DEFRA exemption covers wood burning, with smokeless fuels as the alternative. Traditional house coal is not the right fuel for a modern stove.
How efficient is the Ashdale?
It is rated A+ for energy efficiency at 75.9% gross, and it is SIA Ecodesign ready, which means it meets the modern clean-burning standard. It also carries the 10 year ACR warranty.
