This policy explains what personal information Carl Finnell collects, why we collect it and what we do with it. It covers the information you give us when you request a home survey, fill in a form or get in touch by phone or email.

Who we are

Carl Finnell is a HETAS-registered stove and fireplace installer working across North Yorkshire. For anything to do with your information you can reach us at [email protected] or 07565 140439.

What we collect

When you contact us or request a survey we may collect your name, phone number, email address, postcode or town, property details and anything else you choose to tell us, including any photos you send of the room or fireplace. We do not collect more than we need to arrange your survey and give you a quote.

Why we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out a home survey, prepare a quote and complete any work you go ahead with, including registering the installation where that applies. We may also use it to keep in touch about your job.

Our lawful basis

We rely on your consent when you send us an enquiry, and on our legitimate interest in responding to you and running our business. Where work goes ahead, we also process your information to fulfil our contract with you and to meet our legal and certification obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We only share it where we need to in order to run our service, for example with the software providers that host our website and manage our enquiries, and with the relevant certification body when an installation is registered. These providers act on our instructions and are required to keep your information secure.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was given, and to meet our legal and tax obligations, after which it is securely deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. To do any of these, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
