Who the British Fires Ashurst Electric Stove suits best

The Ashurst is the tall barrel of the electric stove trio: 951mm of slender column with a textured finish and a choice of loose or moulded log bed. It suits corners, alcoves and smaller rooms where a low wide stove would sprawl, and its 2kW heater is the more powerful of the electric stove options.

From the survey

Installation notes for the British Fires Ashurst Electric Stove

Freestanding and simple: a level spot and a socket. Its slim 420mm footprint tucks into corners a real stove could never occupy, because there are no clearance rules to satisfy. The two heat settings, 1kW and 2kW, cover gentle background warmth and quick room heating.

An honest steer

How it compares with similar models

Against the Bramshaw it is the fixed freestanding option where the Bramshaw adds wall-hung flexibility; against the Hinton it is contemporary where the Hinton is classic. The 2kW heater outguns the 1.5kW of the Cube and Hinton, a practical point if warmth matters as much as looks in your room.

Fitting it locally

Fitting the British Fires Ashurst Electric Stove in Yorkshire homes

A favourite for the awkward corners of cottage rooms and the chilly home offices of the corridor, where its tall slim shape fits and the 2kW output earns its keep on a cold morning. Fully electric, so nothing about the building limits where it goes.

Common questions

British Fires Ashurst Electric Stove FAQs

How much heat does the Ashurst give?

Up to 2kW across two settings, the higher output in the British Fires electric stove range, enough to warm a small to mid-size room quickly while the flame visuals run with or without heat.

Will the Ashurst fit in a corner?

Perfectly, and that is where many end up: its 420mm round-bodied footprint has no clearance requirements, so it can tuck where no real stove could go.

What is the difference between the loose and moulded log beds?

The loose set lets you arrange the logs naturally; the moulded bed is a single sculpted piece. Both glow convincingly, and the choice is made when you order.

Does the Ashurst need any installation work?

No building work at all: a level position and a standard socket. If you want cables hidden we can arrange that, but most Ashursts are working within minutes of arriving.
