Who the Fire FX Atmos 195R Electric Fire suits best
The Atmos 195R is the statement piece of the family: nearly two metres of flame for the largest media walls and open-plan spaces. It suits big extensions, barn conversion living spaces and any room where the wall is generous enough to carry it. Under a 75 inch screen it is the width that keeps the proportions right.
From the survey
Installation notes for the Fire FX Atmos 195R Electric Fire
The 140mm depth keeps even this width within a stud build, but at 1950mm the setting-out is everything: we plan the whole wall around the fire centreline, confirm the stud positions before boarding, and keep the fused spur and cabling inside the build. Worth designing in early if the wall is part of a renovation or extension.
An honest steer
How it compares with similar models
Against the 165R you gain 300mm of width, and nothing else changes: same heat, same controls, same height. The only reason not to choose the 195R on a big wall is if the wall is not actually big, in which case the 165R keeps the balance. We tape the sizes out on the wall during the survey so the decision makes itself.
Fitting it locally
Fitting the Fire FX Atmos 195R Electric Fire in Yorkshire homes
The 195R is the fire we specify for the largest rooms on the corridor, the open-plan barn conversions of Ryedale and the big extended family homes around Harrogate and north Leeds, where a smaller fire would disappear against the width of the wall.

Common questions
Fire FX Atmos 195R Electric Fire FAQs
How wide a wall does the Atmos 195R need?
As a working rule, at least 2.5 metres of clear wall so the fire has space either side. On the survey we tape the full 1950mm width onto your wall, which is the quickest way to see whether the room carries it.
What TV suits the Atmos 195R?
Screens up to around 75 inches sit well within its width. The design rule we follow is simple: the TV should never be wider than the fire below it.
Is the 195R more powerful than the smaller Atmos fires?
No. All four share the same 1.5kW heater and controls. The 195R buys you the longest flame picture in the range, not more heat, and the visuals run with or without the heater.
Can the Atmos 195R go in during a renovation?
Ideally, yes. At this scale the media wall is best designed into the building work from the start, and we are happy to work alongside your builder or architect so the recess, spur and TV position are right first time.
