Installation notes for the Colworth Limestone Fireplace

With its refined detailing and timeless elegance, the Colworth creates a striking focal point that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors. Its understated sophistication ensures it will remain a centrepiece of your home for generations to come.

To complement the limestone, the fireplace is paired with an Antique Leather black granite hearth. This premium granite is an ideal choice for solid fuel and wood burning appliances, as its textured finish helps disguise marks from ash, soot and anthracite debris during refuelling. Exceptionally durable and easy to maintain, it can be simply wiped clean to retain its distinctive appearance, providing both practicality and lasting elegance.

The Colworth fireplace is shown without internal chamber border slips. These are available as an optional feature in either contrasting Antique Leather black granite or matching Scala limestone, allowing you to tailor the fireplace to suit your preferred style and finish.

Every Colworth fireplace is handcrafted to order and manufactured to your exact specifications. Whether you are restoring a period fireplace or creating an entirely new focal point, the bespoke made-to-measure service ensures a seamless fit and an exceptional finish.

Each Colworth fireplace is individually crafted by skilled stonemasons using the finest natural Scala limestone. Combining traditional craftsmanship with carefully proportioned Georgian design, every fireplace is created to provide a timeless centrepiece that will enhance your home for generations to come.

Common questions

Colworth Limestone Fireplace FAQs

Why is the Colworth more expensive than the other fireplaces?

The from price of £1,950 is for the surround only, where several others include the hearth. It is also the largest in the range at 1460mm wide by 1325mm high, with more intricate Georgian moulding to the header and jambs.

What is a daylight opening?

It is the actual opening you see through once the fireplace is fitted. On the Colworth it is 915mm by 915mm with a 75mm rebate, which is what your chamber and stove have to work within.

Does the Colworth come with border slips?

Not as shown. They are optional and available in Scala limestone or Antique Leather granite, and they are useful where the chimney breast is narrower than the opening.
