Installation notes for the Eaton Limestone Fireplace

Combining classic architectural detailing with exceptional stonemasonry, the Eaton creates a striking focal point that complements both period properties and more contemporary interiors seeking a touch of traditional elegance.

To complement the limestone, the fireplace is paired with an Antique Leather black granite hearth. This premium granite is an ideal choice for solid fuel and wood burning appliances, as its textured finish helps disguise marks from ash, soot and anthracite debris during refuelling. Exceptionally durable and easy to maintain, it can be simply wiped clean to retain its distinctive appearance, providing both practicality and lasting elegance.

The Eaton fireplace is shown without internal chamber border slips. These are available as an optional feature in either contrasting Antique Leather black granite or matching Semiridgio limestone, allowing you to personalise the fireplace and create a truly bespoke finish.

Every Eaton fireplace is handcrafted to order and manufactured to your exact specifications. Whether you are restoring a period fireplace or creating an entirely new focal point, the bespoke made-to-measure service ensures a seamless fit and an exceptional finish.

Each Eaton fireplace is individually crafted by skilled stonemasons using the finest natural Semiridgio limestone. Combining traditional craftsmanship with carefully proportioned design, every fireplace is created to provide a timeless centrepiece that will enhance your home for generations to come.

Common questions

Eaton Limestone Fireplace FAQs

What is Semiridgio limestone?

It is a veined limestone, softer in pattern than the plain Scala, with subtle movement running through it and a smooth honed finish. It is one of the more popular stones we work with.

What is the darting on the Eaton?

Darting is the fine repeated detail cut into the stone above the Tudor arch. Along with the bullnose moulding and the foot blocks it is what gives the Eaton its traditional English character.

Why is the Eaton opening smaller than the others?

Its daylight opening is 740mm by 860mm because of the Tudor arch, against 915mm by 915mm on the Colworth and Wardon. The stove is sized to suit at the survey.
