Installation notes for the Wardon Limestone Fireplace
With its understated detailing and timeless elegance, the Wardon provides a striking focal point that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors. Its refined design offers a perfect balance of heritage character and modern simplicity, ensuring it remains a beautiful centrepiece for generations to come.
To complement the limestone, the fireplace is paired with an Antique Leather black granite hearth. This premium granite is an ideal choice for solid fuel and wood burning appliances, as its textured finish helps disguise marks from ash, soot and anthracite debris during refuelling. Exceptionally durable and easy to maintain, it can be simply wiped clean to retain its distinctive appearance, providing both practicality and lasting elegance.
The Wardon fireplace is shown without internal chamber border slips. These are available as an optional feature in either contrasting Antique Leather black granite or matching Scala limestone, allowing you to tailor the fireplace to suit your preferred style and finish.
Every Wardon fireplace is handcrafted to order and manufactured to your exact specifications. Whether you are restoring a period fireplace or creating an entirely new focal point, the bespoke made-to-measure service ensures a seamless fit and an exceptional finish.
Each Wardon fireplace is individually crafted by skilled stonemasons using the finest natural Scala limestone. Combining traditional craftsmanship with carefully proportioned Victorian design, every fireplace is created to provide a timeless centrepiece that will enhance your home for generations to come.
Common questions
Wardon Limestone Fireplace FAQs
Is the Wardon a Victorian or Georgian design?
Victorian. It is based on an original early 19th century design, where the Colworth and Waddington are both early 18th century Georgian. The Wardon is the more upright and architectural of the three.
Does the price include a hearth?
Yes, the from price of £1,650 includes the hearth. The Colworth by comparison is priced for the surround only.
What chamber is shown with the Wardon?
A Glasroc FireCase chamber painted black, which gives a clean recessive backdrop to the stove. Alternative chamber finishes including brick, slate and ceramic are available.
