Is it right for you?
Who the ACR Oakdale Multifuel Stove suits best
The Oakdale is the compact classic of the ACR cast iron range: a proper traditional stove at 440mm wide that fits the smaller period fireplaces where bigger cast stoves will not. Its 5kW nominal output and 2.5 to 6kW working range suit cottage living rooms and terrace fireplaces, and the multifuel grate gives you smokeless fuels as well as logs.
From the survey
Installation notes for the ACR Oakdale Multifuel Stove
A 125mm flue and a 12mm decorative hearth keep the installation straightforward in most lined chimneys. The compact 550mm height leaves comfortable clearance in smaller chambers, which is exactly where we tend to propose it. It takes logs up to 30cm, a detail worth knowing when you order wood, and carries a 10 year warranty.
An honest steer
How it compares with similar models
Within the cast iron family, the Rowandale is wider with a panoramic window and takes 40cm logs, the Ashdale steps output up to 7kW for bigger rooms, and the Larchdale is the 9kW flagship. The Oakdale is the pick when the fireplace is snug and 5kW is the honest requirement. Against the Woodpecker WP5 it trades a little compactness for traditional cast iron character.
Fitting it locally
Fitting the ACR Oakdale Multifuel Stove in Yorkshire homes
DEFRA approved for wood burning in smoke control areas, so it suits the Leeds and York terraces its proportions were made for. A cast iron multifuel in a brick chamber with an oak beam is close to the definitive Yorkshire fireplace, and the Oakdale does it in the smallest footprint of the range.

Common questions
ACR Oakdale Multifuel Stove FAQs
What fuels can the ACR Oakdale burn?
Seasoned wood logs and a wide range of authorised smokeless fuels. In a smoke control area you burn wood legally thanks to its DEFRA exemption, with smokeless fuel as a flexible second option.
Is the Oakdale big enough for my living room?
Its 5kW nominal output suits most typical living rooms, with a working range of 2.5 to 6kW. We measure the room on the free home survey and tell you honestly if the Ashdale or Larchdale would suit better.
What warranty does the Oakdale carry?
ACR backs the Oakdale with a 10 year warranty, one of the longer warranties on any stove we fit. Registration requirements apply, which we help you sort at handover.
What hearth does the Oakdale need?
A 12mm non-combustible hearth is the standard requirement, so a decorative slate, granite or stone hearth is usually all it takes. We confirm the size and clearances for your room on the survey.
