Who the ACR Woodpecker WP4 LS Wood Burning Stove suits best
The WP4 LS puts the compact WP4 firebox on an integrated log store base, lifting the fire to a comfortable height and giving your evening logs a home directly below the flames. It suits freestanding positions and modern rooms where the taller, leggier look works better than a squat stove in a chamber, while staying small-room honest at 4.3kW.
From the survey
Installation notes for the ACR Woodpecker WP4 LS Wood Burning Stove
The 674mm total height changes the proportions rather than the requirements: still a 125mm flue, still a 12mm hearth, still 30cm logs. It works within a taller chamber or freestanding on a twin-wall flue, where the raised firebox reads especially well. The log store base holds a sensible evening supply.

How it compares with similar models
Against the standard WP4 you pay a little more for the log store base and the taller stance, purely a design and convenience choice since the firebox is identical. If you like the raised look but need 5kW and 40cm logs, the WP5 QLS is the same idea at the larger size.
Fitting it locally
Fitting the ACR Woodpecker WP4 LS Wood Burning Stove in Yorkshire homes
A favourite for the smaller modern rooms of the corridor, and for garden rooms and studies where the stove stands free on a twin-wall flue rather than in a chamber. DEFRA approved, so smoke control addresses are covered.

Common questions
ACR Woodpecker WP4 LS Wood Burning Stove FAQs
What is the LS on the Woodpecker WP4 LS?
Log store. The stove sits on an integrated base with an open store for logs below the firebox, raising the fire to a comfortable viewing height and keeping the evening supply to hand.
Is the WP4 LS the same fire as the WP4?
Yes, the firebox, output and efficiency are identical. You are choosing the taller silhouette and the built-in log storage, not different performance.
Can the WP4 LS stand free of a wall?
Yes, and it suits that position: freestanding on a twin-wall flue the raised body looks intentional rather than lost. We plan the flue route on the free home survey.
Is the WP4 LS suitable for a garden room?
Very much so. Its compact 4.3kW output matches garden room volumes, and a twin-wall flue means no chimney is needed. We design the hearth and clearances around the build, as we did for the garden room in our Husthwaite case study.
