From the survey
Installation notes for the CF3 Woodburning Stove
Designed for exceptional controllability, the CF3 features primary, secondary and tertiary air systems, delivering a hotter, cleaner and more efficient burn. The advanced combustion technology maximises heat output while reducing emissions, helping you get the very best performance from every log.
A large panoramic viewing window, combined with a powerful airwash system, keeps the glass cleaner for longer, providing an uninterrupted view of the flames and allowing you to fully enjoy the ambience of a real wood fire.
The minimum specified fireplace chamber width is 620mm. However, for the best aesthetic balance and to allow the stove to become a true focal point, we recommend a chamber width of 900mm. To accommodate this, the masonry chimney breast should ideally be no less than 1300mm wide.
As every property is different, we strongly recommend arranging a home survey before purchasing any solid fuel appliance. Our survey enables us to assess your existing fireplace and chimney, confirm suitability, discuss design options, and ensure your installation complies with all current building regulations and HETAS requirements.
The CF3 is manufactured to the highest standards and carries a 10-year casting warranty, terms and conditions apply, when purchased through an authorised dealer. It also meets the stringent 2022 Ecodesign standards and is approved by HETAS, ensuring higher efficiency, lower emissions and a reduced environmental impact for cleaner, more sustainable home heating.
Common questions
CF3 Woodburning Stove FAQs
When would I need the CF3 rather than the CF1?
When the room is large, the ceiling is high, or the house is older and less insulated. A 7.8kW output gives you headroom that a 5kW stove does not, though an oversized stove run too low burns dirty, so we size it properly at survey.
Why is the CF3 less efficient than the CF1 and CF2?
At 79.2% it sits below the CF2 at 84.4% and the CF1 at 83.9%. That is a normal trade-off for the higher output, and it is still well inside Ecodesign requirements.
Does the CF3 need a bigger fireplace?
A little. The minimum chamber width is 620mm, the same as the CF1, but we recommend 900mm and a chimney breast of at least 1300mm so the proportions work.
