Coming soonWhy the hearth matters
The base your whole fireplace sits on
The hearth is the part of the fireplace that has to work hardest. It protects the floor, sets the footprint of the stove or fire, and visually ties the opening to the rest of the room.
We plan the hearth alongside the stove chamber and the beam, so the material, profile and shape all suit the appliance, the floor and the finished fireplace.

Common questions
Hearths, answered plainly
What is a hearth and do I need one?
A hearth is the fireproof base a stove or fire sits on, protecting the floor from heat and falling embers. Building Regulations set the size and material for your appliance, and we work all of that out on the free home survey.
What materials do you make hearths in?
Granite, limestone, sandstone, gritstone and slate, with porcelain and budget Indian sandstone options too. Each hearth is cut to size for your fireplace or freestanding stove.
Can you make a hearth to a bespoke shape?
Yes. As well as standard shapes we offer a full made-to-measure design and cutting service for angled walls, bay windows, inglenooks and irregular chimney breasts, drawn and cut to fit after a site survey.
