Log burner installation across Yorkshire
If you are looking for someone to fit a log burner, the job is bigger than putting a stove in a fireplace. The room, chimney, flue route, hearth, ventilation and certificate all have to be right before the fire is lit.
What is involved
A complete fit, not a loose appliance
Carl Finnell supplies and fits wood burning and multi-fuel stoves as complete installations: the home survey, stove choice, chimney liner or twin-wall flue, hearth, chamber or making good, carbon monoxide alarm, commissioning, HETAS certification and Building Control notification.
The first visit decides the important details. We measure the room, inspect the chimney or flue route, check smoke-control questions, discuss how you want to use the fire and give one written quote for the whole job.

No chimney?
Chimney liner or twin-wall flue
If you have a usable chimney, it will often need a correctly sized flexible liner so the stove draws cleanly and can be swept properly. If there is no chimney, a twin-wall insulated flue can be designed internally or externally, subject to safe clearances and a suitable route.
That flue decision is usually what separates a simple log burner installation from a more involved one, so we confirm it on the survey rather than guessing from photographs.
